Door open vragen te stellen word je je meer bewust van jezelf. Bijvoorbeeld:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Waar is je ademhaling op dit moment in deze houding?<\/li>\n<li>Waar begint je inademing\/uitademing en waar eindigt je inademing\/uitademing?<\/li>\n<li>Waar maakt je ademhaling ruimte?<\/li>\n<li>Hoe voelt je linkerkant van je lichaam vergeleken met de rechterkant? (Voelt het gestimuleerd, langer of korter, warmer of kouder?)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Het kan een hathales, yinles of een yoga nidrales zijn. Er is ruimte om eerder uit de houding te komen als je voelt dat dat goed voor je is. De les eindigt met pranayama. Dit zijn ademhalingsoefeningen terwijl je zit. Het helpt je ontspannen en verbetert je gezondheid. Wat denk, voel en doe je?<\/li>\n<li>Je wordt uitgenodigd om met vriendelijkheid, begrip en liefde te kijken naar en om te gaan met wat je op dit moment voelt, denkt en tegenkomt.<\/li>\n<li>Je traint je geest, je hersenen worden rustiger en je begint je beter te concentreren als je regelmatig mediteert. Je kijkt mindful naar opkomende gedachten zoals: &#8216;Ik moet die ene e-mail nog schrijven&#8217;. Mindful zeg je tegen jezelf: &#8216;dit is nu niet belangrijk&#8217;. Dan concentreer je je weer op je in- en uitademing.<\/li>\n<li>In stilte kun je ervaren: wat gebeurt er in mij? Je herkent gewoonten en patronen van je geest die niet voor je werken. Die je hebt meegekregen uit je opvoeding en samenleving, die je hebt voortgezet en waarin je verstrikt kunt raken.<\/li>\n<li>Dan kun je ze anders gaan bekijken. Je begint anders te kijken naar je terugkerende niet-helpende gedachten, naar mogelijke pijn, verdriet en lijden. Je blijft erbij met je aandacht. Je erkent het stilletjes. Bijvoorbeeld: &#8220;Hallo onrust, ik weet dat je er bent en ik ben bij je. Vaak kun je dan zien wat eronder zit. Als je dit niet doet, werkt het tegen je, wordt het groter en kunnen sommige patronen je moe of zelfs ziek maken.<\/li>\n<li>Als je voor je lichaam en geest zorgt, kun je dankbaarheid en vreugde voelen voor wat er is. Fijn dat mijn longen zo goed werken&#8217;. &#8216;Fijn om dit uur voor mezelf te hebben&#8217;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mindfulness en meditatie vereisen doorzettingsvermogen en regelmatige oefening.
